Caleb Silverio

Candidate for Katy ISD School Board
Position 5

I'm here to help students succeed, teachers feel valued, and our schools stay a place we can all be proud of.

My Priorities for Katy ISD

Student Success & Achievement

I will support programs and opportunities that help students succeed academically and in extracurricular activities. From tutoring and mentorship programs to clubs, arts, and sports, I want every student to have access to the resources and guidance they need to explore their passions and reach their full potential. Having benefited from supportive teachers and extracurricular programs myself, I understand how important these opportunities are for students' growth. I am committed to ensuring every child in Katy ISD has the tools and support to thrive.

Valuing & Supporting Educators

I believe that strong schools start with strong teachers. I will advocate for providing educators with the resources, training, and professional development they need to succeed in the classroom. Supporting teachers means supporting students - when educators are well-equipped, they can focus on helping every student reach their full potential. I will also work to ensure teachers feel valued and heard, so Katy ISD can attract and retain the best educators for your community.

Ensure Safe & Inclusive Schools

I am committed to creating learning environments where every student feels safe, included, and respected. Students thrive when they feel supported academically, socially and emotionally. I will work to make sure policies promote equality, prevent bullying, and provide resources for mental health and student well-being. Every child deserves a school where they can learn without fear, participate in extracurricular activities, and grow as individuals.

Why I'm Running for School Board

I am running for the Katy ISD Board of Trustees because I believe that effective governance requires a direct connection to the classroom. My journey through this district—from King and Bethke Elementary to Stockdick Junior High and graduating as a 2025 Paetow High School alumnus—gives me a unique, contemporary understanding of how board decisions affect our daily lives.

Currently, I bring that same dedication to Houston City College, where I maintain a 3.7 GPA and serve in the Student Government Association. As a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, I have built a foundation of leadership rooted in accountability and collaboration. In addition, I serve as a Katy ISD KEYS Mentor, working directly with students and supporting their academic and personal growth. I am ready to apply these skills to ensure Katy ISD prioritizes academic integrity, family engagement, and the responsible management of taxpayer resources. I offer more than just a fresh perspective; I offer the commitment of a lifelong Katy resident ready to serve the community that shaped him.

Katy ISD isn’t just a school district to me—it’s where I was raised. From my early days at King Elementary to my recent 2025 graduation from Paetow High School, I have seen firsthand where our district excels and where we can improve. I am running for School Board to bridge the gap between policy and the people it impacts.

My record as a Phi Theta Kappa scholar and Student Government representative at Houston City College proves that I have the discipline to lead and the integrity to serve. I am committed to a 'Students-First' agenda that focuses on safety, academic excellence, and fiscal responsibility. While I represent a new generation of leadership, my goal is timeless: to ensure every Katy ISD student has the same opportunities to succeed that I did.
.

“My goal is to protect the values that make our schools great while building a brighter future for the next generation.”
